Born in 1914 in Nowalta, Oklahoma, 20th-century African-American artist, Harold Pierce spent most of his life in New Orleans, painting mainly portraits during the first half of the 20th century. He was a member of the French Quarter Arts and Crafts Club, working and exhibiting alongside notable Louisiana artists such as John McCrady, Alberta Kinsey, and Clarence Millet. Harold Pierce's work is in the collection of the Baton Rouge Art League.
